Security Intelligence Analyst (7-Month Contract)

About the role

Control Risks is hiring a Security Intelligence Analyst to support a premier client, as part of its Global Security Intelligence team. The analyst collects, curates and disseminates current and forecasted risk intelligence to partners and stakeholders. This is a fixed-term contract from 12 October 2026 to 31 May 2027, and candidates must be available and able to commit to the full duration.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse geopolitical and global events, and identify and assess threats to the client's global operations, assets and personnel.
• Act as the subject matter expert for the team on the APAC region.
• Produce major event safety and security assessments, forecasts and vulnerability reports.
• Carry out site and travel vulnerability assessments to protect the client's employees and locations.
• Support location-specific intelligence, including active and archived alerts, city and country intelligence and interactive maps.
• Draft comprehensive, well-researched analysis products and tailor research to the client's needs.
• Define priorities for in-depth analysis of selected locations relevant to the client's global interests.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in history, political science, international relations, intelligence analysis or a related discipline.
• 4-6 years of experience in global risk and threat analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of the APAC region.
• Strong research, analytical, writing and verbal presentation skills, with excellent customer service focus and ability to work in a team while managing multiple projects.

Required skills

• Experience in collection and analytical methodologies.
• Experience editing and compiling written analysis.
• Understanding of social media monitoring techniques.
• Proficiency in the client workspace product suite, and the ability to present information graphically and in concise reports.
