Security Platform Engineer (AVP/VP) – Enterprise Endpoint & Server Security

About the role

OCBC is seeking an experienced Security Platform Engineer to lead the design, implementation and continuous improvement of enterprise endpoint and server security platforms, focusing on EDR/XDR capabilities. You will own the engineering roadmap, translate security requirements into technical controls and ensure platform resilience across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering ownership for enterprise endpoint and server security platforms, including EDR/XDR and related protection technologies.
• Define and maintain the engineering roadmap, technical standards, service objectives and improvement backlog.
• Engineer, configure, test and continuously improve security controls across supported platforms.
• Translate threat, vulnerability, risk and audit requirements into practical security configurations.
• Develop monitoring, observability and service‑health dashboards for platform availability and effectiveness.
• Lead investigations and root‑cause analysis for platform failures, coverage gaps and performance issues.
• Evaluate new product features, conduct proofs of value and produce implementation guidance.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, security platforms, endpoint security or related disciplines.
• Strong background in enterprise endpoint/server EDR/XDR platforms and threat‑protection technologies.
• Proven ability to design and operate monitoring, observability and service‑health measures for critical platforms.
• Experience with product lifecycle management, production readiness and incident/problem management.
• Excellent analytical, documentation and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with enterprise endpoint‑security ecosystems such as Trend Micro Vision One, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto Cortex, Microsoft Defender, Tanium or Symantec.
• Proficiency in Python, Ansible, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, scripting and configuration automation.
• Experience building monitoring, observability dashboards and alerts for security platforms.
• Knowledge of SIEM, vulnerability management, cloud‑security, digital forensics and threat intelligence integrations.
