Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to lead our accounting function, overseeing a team of Accounts Executives and Assistants while ensuring accurate financial reporting in line with statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise a team of Accounts Executives/Assistants.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly financial closing and balance‑sheet reconciliations.
• Support month‑end management reporting, preparing financial commentary and KPI analysis.
• Lead year‑end closing, audit processes and preparation of financial statements, liaising with auditors.
• Monitor operational cash flow and prepare cash‑flow statements.
• Prepare tax computations, GST returns and coordinate with tax agents.
• Assist in periodic forecasts, annual budgeting and provide financial insights for business decisions.
• Maintain and enforce proper internal controls.
• Perform ad‑hoc finance duties as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of audit and commercial experience in retail or FMCG.
• Experience with ERP/Oracle integrated systems.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven ability to lead a large finance team under pressure and tight deadlines.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Excellent spreadsheet skills.
• Supervisory and decision‑making capabilities.
• Good knowledge of financial reporting.
• Ability to multitask effectively.
