Senior Application Support Analyst, Assistant Vice President

About the role

Citi's Data Engineering Production Management team is looking for a Senior Application Support Analyst to run and maintain the production environment for reconciliation applications, so that Operations and Risk & Control users can serve their clients. The role works with colleagues in APAC, EMEA and NAM to provide 24/7 support of franchise-critical applications, and partners with Level 1 Support, Application Technology Development, Infrastructure teams and business product owners. It is a full-time position with a hybrid arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and business support to users, resolving application issues quickly and improving stability, efficiency and effectiveness
• Maintain production environments with high observability, resiliency and recoverability
• Manage, maintain and support applications and their operating environments in line with service level expectations
• Resolve incidents and problems, prioritise and escalate where needed, and perform root cause analysis
• Champion stability initiatives such as better monitoring, failover and resiliency
• Follow incident and problem management procedures and assess the risk and impact of production issues
• Implement and drive automations to reduce toil and improve productivity
• Communicate clearly with operations and technology partners across regions

Required profile

• 6-10 years of production support experience is essential
• Experience supporting reconciliation applications (including TLM) is preferable
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; exceptional candidates without a degree may be considered
• Ability to handle incidents and changes at global enterprise level, with calm and analytical judgement during major incidents

• Monitoring tools such as ITRS Geneos and AppDynamics
• Log aggregation tools such as ELK, Splunk and Grafana
• Oracle, Hadoop, Apache Spark, Hive and Starburst
• Tibco EMS and Kafka
• Java or other programming languages, with a willingness to learn new technologies
