Senior Assistant Director, Office of Research

About the role

SingHealth is seeking a Senior Assistant Director for its Office of Research. The role oversees the day-to-day operations of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) and collaboration functions, supervising the IACUC secretariat and supporting the alignment of the Group Research strategy with the national research agenda.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC)
• Supervise the IACUC secretariat function
• Facilitate and formulate multi-institutional and strategic collaborations
• Support and coordinate the alignment of the Group Research strategy with the national research agenda, and develop corresponding action plans

Required profile

• Postgraduate degree or Master's in Science with at least 12 years of relevant working experience, including 4 years of managerial experience
• Prior experience as a researcher or in a clinical/translational research environment is advantageous
• Good team player with strong communication and decision-making skills
• Excellent command of spoken and written English
