Senior Assistant Manager / Assistant Manager, Research

About the role

SingHealth is looking for a Senior Assistant Manager / Assistant Manager for research. The role covers research lab setup, lab operations, compliance and regulatory matters, and also involves project management, stakeholder engagement and strong written and presentation skills.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general laboratory research operations for the ACP Office - Research, with duties adjusted to programme needs and approved priorities.
• Support lab setup and development in the new NDCS building, including workflow coordination and follow-up across projects.
• Work with investigators, research teams and stakeholders to deliver research activities on time.
• Assist with documentation, reporting, procurement and vendor coordination.
• Support compliance, safety and governance with relevant institutional offices.
• Execute grant calls end-to-end: plan timelines, publish calls, manage applications, coordinate peer review and notify awardees.
• Track grant utilisation and budgets, maintain spend records, liaise with finance and flag variances.
• Support publicity initiatives such as research lunch talks and pitch-deck preparation.
• Provide administrative and secretariat support: briefings, action items and meeting schedules.

Required profile

• Degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least 2-4 years' experience in research lab setup and operations.
• At least 1-2 years' experience in grants management and/or communications.

Required skills

• Familiarity with SAP and Ariba.
• Project management, stakeholder engagement, and strong written and presentation skills.
