Job description
About the role
Nanyang Technological University (NTU) Singapore is hiring a Senior Assistant Manager, EdTech Enablement, within its InsPIRE – Educational Services unit. The team helps academics use EdTech in their teaching and shares the results of their work. About 80% of the role focuses on EdTech and AI enablement: training and coaching faculty, consulting on course and assessment design, and building AI-based learning assets. The remaining 20% covers change management and communications.
Key responsibilities
- Design and run workshops, clinics and onboarding, plus guides, prompt libraries and recorded demos, so academics move from curiosity to confident, compliant practice.
- Advise faculty and course teams on applying AI to course, assessment and content design, within academic integrity and data protection guidelines.
- Create AI-generated and AI-assisted learning assets, prompt workflows and use cases, and present them at showcases, communities of practice and leadership briefings.
- Evaluate and pilot emerging EdTech and AI tools, turn university policy into practical guardrails for faculty, and feed needs back to platform owners and vendors.
- Plan communications that raise awareness and uptake of the programmes and university-wide teaching and learning initiatives, working with Corporate Communications and school leads.
- Track participation, adoption, capability uplift and sentiment, report on impact and use findings to improve future enablement.
Required profile
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Communications or a related discipline.
- Tertiary-level teaching experience.
- At least 5 years in educational technology, learning design, digital learning or staff capability development, including hands-on work with generative AI applied to teaching, learning or content creation.
- Proven experience designing and delivering training, workshops or onboarding to academic or professional audiences.
- Experience advising educators on course, assessment or content design and turning pedagogical needs into practical technology solutions.
Required skills
- Demonstrated practical use of generative AI tools (e.g. Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) to create learning content, media or workflows, with work you can show and explain.
- Strong writing and editing for internal audiences across email, web, social and event channels.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
Good to have: experience in higher education, an institute of higher learning or the public sector, a postgraduate qualification in education or learning design, familiarity with learning management systems, and experience building lightweight AI solutions such as custom assistants, GPTs, agents or no-code automations.
Candidates apply through the NTU Careers Portal with an updated CV and cover letter; only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
