About the role
The Senior Assistant Manager, Strategic Initiatives and Administration plays a key leadership role within the Programme and Office Management team of the NBS Undergraduate Programmes Office. The role supports the effective delivery of undergraduate education by driving strategic initiatives, strengthening governance frameworks, and leading operational excellence across curriculum implementation, financial aid administration, and student management processes.
Key responsibilities
- Support school leadership and Programme Directors in planning and implementing strategic academic initiatives, including curriculum launches, industry‑embedded learning, and internationalisation.
- Provide end‑to‑end administrative and project management support for new programmes, pathways, majors, and curriculum enhancements, coordinating approvals, system set‑up, timetable readiness, and stakeholder communications.
- Monitor implementation progress, consolidate feedback, and contribute to post‑implementation reviews for continuous improvement.
- Oversee the end‑to‑end administration of the NBS Dean’s Global Immersion Award, ensuring compliance with rules, tracking utilisation, and managing awardee reporting.
- Plan and manage undergraduate NBS financial aid schemes, coordinating applications, verification, interviews, and recommendations, while liaising with the NTU Financial Aid Office and Finance.
- Ensure accurate documentation, proper governance, and compliance with Rules of Administration and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Provide administrative and coordination support to Associate Deans and the Deputy Director, including faculty appointment processes.
Required profile
- Proven experience in higher‑education administration or a comparable institutional environment.
- Strong project management and coordination abilities, capable of handling multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, working closely with school leadership, Programme Directors, and central offices.
- Familiarity with financial aid processes, award administration, and governance frameworks.
- Analytical mindset to assess implementation data and produce actionable recommendations.
