Senior Assistant Manager, Student Development

About the role

The Student and Academic Services Department (SASD) supports students from admission to graduation, working with schools, colleges and autonomous institutes. Within SASD, the Student Affairs Office runs the Student Development and Leadership Academy, which designs and leads programmes that help NTU students discover, grow and celebrate their leadership potential. The Senior Assistant Manager owns key initiatives across the Leadership for All and Leadership Engagement pillars, opens doors to global leadership experiences and champions the university's leadership awards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Leadership for All Pillar, helping students build personal effectiveness and foundational leadership competencies.
• Grow emerging leaders under the Emergent Leadership Programme by designing onboarding, leadership and handover programmes.
• Design and deliver a foundational training programme for NTU student ambassadors nominated by Schools and Offices.
• Partner with the Team Lead on advanced development initiatives for high-potential students under the Leadership Excellence Pillar.
• Use student leadership data to identify learning needs and shape development initiatives.
• Manage the Global Leadership Experience programme and administer the annual student leadership awards.

Required profile

• Degree in any discipline with at least six years of relevant experience in student engagement or student development.
• Experience in youth and leadership development sectors is advantageous.
• Proven ability to design and facilitate learning experiences.
• Established track record in stakeholder management.
• Willingness to travel overseas for project supervision when required.
• Flexibility to support student events during weekday evenings or weekends in academic terms, with time off provided.
