Senior Associate Engineer, Manufacturing Operations

About the role

GlobalFoundries is looking for a Senior Associate Engineer for its Manufacturing Operations team. The role supports the running of production in a module, keeping equipment ready and fit for production. It involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and following standard operating procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Work 12-hour shifts to support production in the module and ensure equipment readiness and fitness for production.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and troubleshoot equipment so that module goals are met.
• Troubleshoot basic and chronic equipment issues to maintain or improve tool performance.
• Follow SOPs, carry out corrective actions according to specifications and maintain good upkeep of support tools.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the production floor, sub-fab, office and maintenance support areas.
• Follow safety practices and keep tools, equipment and property safe.
• Report line issues accurately and complete and file checklists.
• Support environmental, health, safety and security requirements.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Microelectronics Engineering, preferably with 1-2 years of experience in the electrical or electronics industry.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts or normal/swing shifts where required.

Required skills

• Experience with clean tech / wet etch equipment (wet bench and single-wafer equipment) is an added advantage.
