Senior Business Development Manager - Advertising Sales

About the role

A media company in Singapore is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager for advertising sales to lead its advertising revenue growth. The role suits a strategic thinker who has built and maintained high-value client relationships, driven end-to-end sales and identified new business opportunities, and can manage cross-functional teams while representing the brand in the marketplace.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company objectives and achieve assigned individual sales targets
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, including key accounts, and identify new business opportunities
• Own the end-to-end sales cycle, from prospecting and negotiation to closing and renewals
• Manage sales processes and workflows with internal stakeholders and ensure accurate, timely sales reporting
• Meet minimum sales engagements (calls and meetings)
• Support the line manager and management with senior sales and management duties, key agency relationships and internal stakeholder conversations
• Stay up to date on industry trends, competitors and market conditions
• Lead cross-functional collaboration on pitches and present TSLMG credentials with case studies to senior stakeholders
• Promote paid media solutions and evangelise the advertising offering through trade engagements such as workshops, events and networking sessions
• Hire, train and onboard team members and cover their duties when needed

Required profile

• At least 5-7 years of sales or business development experience in a similar industry
• Excellent understanding of new media, digital publishing, content and social media
• Experience with Singapore Government advertisers and agencies highly preferred
• Strong negotiator with a commercial mindset
• Outstanding verbal and written communication, able to present to senior executives
• Meticulous, analytical and able to multi-task
