About the role
We are seeking a Senior CAD‑CAM Engineer to interpret customer mechanical drawings, review files and ensure product specifications are met. The role involves close collaboration with product engineers and the MIS programming team to optimise manufacturing processes.
Key responsibilities
- Read, understand and interpret customer mechanical drawings to input and review files.
- Scrutinise customer data and highlight potential issues to the Product Engineer.
- Verify specifications against drawings and measure board dimensions.
- Prepare first‑article reports for Design for Manufacturing.
- Collaborate with Corporate MIS Programmer to develop scripts that improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Coach and train new hires.
Required profile
- Minimum Nitec/Diploma/Degree qualification.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Experience in PCB manufacturing or related fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with Genesis Cam Software is a plus.
- Knowledge of a programming language is advantageous.
