Senior Cell Leader - Precision Machining

About the role

RTX's P&W Manufacturing Services unit in Seletar, Singapore, is looking for a Senior Cell Leader to run its Operation Department. The role leads a team of up to 30 Technicians and manages the manufacturing cells that deliver products with high quality, speed and low cost.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Operation Department to deliver products efficiently and effectively, supporting company business objectives.
• Manage the Manufacturing Cell and lead a team of up to 30 Technicians, engaging and empowering production supervisors and technicians.
• Manage daily, weekly and monthly production output commitments for on-time delivery.
• Run each production cell as a profit/loss cell and achieve all set KPIs.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to shop floor employees.
• Review staffing and training needs, including hiring, retention and talent development.
• Use CORE to drive continuous improvement of quality, speed and cost, and set up standard work for production processes.
• Develop manufacturing processes, including method of instructions, time standards, CNC programming, tooling, fixtures and equipment.
• Take part in project management for new product implementations, including cost estimation, scheduling and equipment specification with Engineering.
• Support company-wide EHS, quality, export compliance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Be ready to deploy on shifts as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in precision metal machining and processing and/or assembly of parts in the aerospace industry.
• Proven ability to manage and motivate teams, with demonstrated problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation.
• Lean manufacturing or repair experience with a continuous improvement mindset.
• Preferred: aerospace, manufacturing or MRO experience.

Required skills

• SAP or equivalent enterprise systems.
• Advanced precision metal processing, CNC programming for milling, grinding, turning and wire cut operations, and inspection systems such as CMM or advanced blue light inspection (preferred).
