Senior Consultant / Principal Consultant - Capital Markets

About the role

Capco is looking for an experienced Capital Markets Consultant in Singapore to support business transformation, regulatory change and technology implementation across capital markets. The role works with business stakeholders, front-, middle- and back-office teams, technology teams and external partners to improve operational efficiency, strengthen risk management and enhance trading and post-trade processes. The ideal candidate has 6-8 years of experience combining financial services domain knowledge with consulting, business analysis and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Demonstrate deep knowledge of capital markets products, processes and operating models across equities, fixed income, FX, derivatives and structured products, and the trade lifecycle from execution through settlement and reconciliation
• Engage with stakeholders, run workshops and interviews, and turn needs into BRDs, functional specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria
• Develop current- and future-state process maps, assess impacts of business, operational, regulatory and technology changes, and support solution design
• Drive workstreams across the project lifecycle, support Agile practices, manage dependencies and risks, and prepare documentation and status reports
• Support regulatory and risk initiatives, including transaction reporting, trade transparency, LEIs, ISO 20022 and settlement reforms, and help identify control gaps
• Develop test scenarios, support SIT, UAT and regression testing, track defects and support cutover and post-production validation
• Build relationships with business users, technology teams and vendors, mentor junior analysts and share knowledge

Required profile

• 6-8 years of experience in capital markets, investment banking, financial services consulting or a related domain
• Experience in business analysis, functional consulting, process improvement or transformation delivery
• Ability to gather, document and validate business and functional requirements
• Experience working with business and technology stakeholders on complex projects
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills

Required skills

• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project delivery methods
• Experience preparing BRDs, functional specifications, process flows, user stories and test documentation
• Preferred: capital markets platforms, trading, clearing and settlement systems, SQL, Excel, Jira, Confluence, Visio, APIs and system integration knowledge
