Senior Cyber Security Engineer

About the role

Bitdeer is seeking a Senior Cyber Security Engineer to lead the detection, analysis, and response to security threats across its global infrastructure. The role focuses on triaging alerts, enhancing SOC processes with automation and AI, and safeguarding the company’s Bitcoin mining and AI cloud operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform holistic triage of security alerts across SIEM, EDR, identity, network, and cloud platforms.
• Contribute to security and governance frameworks for AI initiatives.
• Improve SOC operations by writing scripts or leveraging AI/ML to auto‑triage alerts, summarize logs, and enable rapid incident response.
• Investigate security events such as phishing, malware, account compromise, and unauthorized access, conducting root‑cause analysis, impact assessment, and attack containment.

Required profile

• Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• Fluency in English; Mandarin proficiency preferred.
• Proven experience in end‑to‑end incident investigation or threat hunting.
• 8+ years of experience in SOC operations or security incident response.
• Hands‑on experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, cloud or identity security tools and a solid understanding of attack chains, MITRE ATT&CK, and forensic analysis.
