Travel Security Manager – APAC

About the role

The Corporate Security team safeguards the safety, security, and resilience of OpenAI employees worldwide. The Travel Security function enables employees to travel confidently while supporting business activity in a fast‑changing environment. As the Travel Security Manager for APAC, you will own regional delivery and continuous development of the travel security program across Asia‑Pacific.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day travel security operations across APAC, including high‑risk travel reviews, traveler briefings, monitoring, escalation, incident response, and accountability.
• Produce intelligence‑led risk assessments, advisories, decision briefs and practical mitigation options for employees and senior stakeholders.
• Monitor geopolitical, security, health, environmental and transport risks with intelligence analysts and external providers, turning information into timely operational decisions.
• Manage travel risk, medical and security assistance, secure transport and specialist providers, ensuring service quality and performance.
• Utilise travel‑management, traveler‑tracking and case‑management tools while maintaining data quality, privacy and operational resilience.

Required profile

• 8+ years of corporate travel security or travel risk management experience, with recent ownership of a regional or global program.
• Proven end‑to‑end ownership of travel security operations, including risk assessment, pre‑travel preparation, active‑trip monitoring and crisis support.
• Extensive operating experience across multiple APAC sub‑regions and ability to adapt global standards to local legal, cultural and risk environments.
• Strong analytical skills to translate intelligence into clear recommendations, decision points and operational actions.
• Excellent written and spoken English, capable of briefing senior leaders and communicating calmly under pressure.
