Senior Dietitian

About the role

NUHS is recruiting a Senior Dietitian who reports to the Principal Dietitian and provides quality nutrition and dietetic services to patients living in the community. The role covers clinical practice, mentoring, education, quality improvement and service leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Provide evidence-based nutrition assessment, diagnosis, intervention, monitoring and evaluation for patients with routine and complex conditions, including multi-morbidities
• Act as a resource person in specialised areas of dietetics practice
• Deliver nutrition counselling and education for patients, caregivers and groups in a patient-centred way
• Review nutrition progress and document nutritional management accurately and promptly
• Take part in multidisciplinary ward rounds and care planning
• Supervise, mentor and support junior dietitians and dietetic students
• Help implement clinical governance and risk management frameworks
• Develop and review patient education materials, resources and work processes
• Lead or support research, quality improvement and service improvement initiatives
• Plan, run and evaluate nutrition talks, workshops and educational programmes
• Help develop clinical practice guidelines, workflows and departmental education activities
• Manage patient feedback, stakeholder concerns and service recovery

Required profile

• Bachelor's, Master's or postgraduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics, with a recognised clinical dietetics internship
• At least 5 years of clinical dietetics experience preferred
• Advanced practice capability in the assigned specialty, with strong communication and stakeholder management

Required skills

• Nutrition assessment and interpretation of paediatric growth patterns
• Planning and monitoring oral, enteral and parenteral nutrition
• Managing paediatric feeding difficulties, food allergy and intolerance, and therapeutic diets
• Leading section-level quality, service and workforce initiatives
• Supporting digital-care workflows and data-driven quality improvement
