Senior Director, Legal – APAC Lead & SENA

About the role

Johnson & Johnson, through its orthopedics arm DePuy Synthes, is seeking a Senior Director to lead legal functions across Asia Pacific and South East/North Asia (SENA). The role will act as a strategic legal partner, guiding senior leadership on complex, cross‑border matters while supporting the transition to a standalone orthopedics company.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high‑performing regional legal team, aligning efforts with business priorities.
• Champion transformation of legal service delivery using AI, automation, digital platforms, and emerging technologies.
• Reimagine legal workflows and operating models to increase efficiency and business value.
• Serve as the primary legal advisor for DePuy Synthes in APAC and SENA, providing counsel on business‑critical issues, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Drive cross‑border legal initiatives and support the company’s growth strategy in the healthcare sector.

Required profile

• Extensive senior‑level legal experience within the APAC region.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor a regional legal team.
• Strong strategic mindset with experience advising senior business leaders.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing complex, multi‑jurisdictional legal matters, preferably in healthcare or medical devices.
