Senior Electrical Engineer - Building Services Construction

About the role

Micron is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead and manage building electrical construction for semiconductor fab and cleanroom environments. The role covers cost and budget planning, monitoring and control, and ensures electrical systems are designed, installed, energized, commissioned and handed over in line with Global Facilities Electrical Standards, safety regulations and fab milestones such as Cleanroom Readiness, RFE and RFM.

Key responsibilities

• Technical leadership and engineering oversight of HV/MV/LV power distribution, substations, transformers, switchgear, UPS, generators, tool power distribution, cleanroom lighting, grounding and lightning protection
• Review and approve electrical design packages, specifications and technical submissions, and ensure compliance with electrical specifications and project standards
• Coordinate with Mechanical, I&C/Controls, CSA, Process and tool-hookup teams, resolve site clashes and sequencing issues, and support phased energization and cleanroom readiness
• Act as technical authority for RFIs, deviations and field changes, evaluating impacts on power reliability, safety and cleanroom operations
• Lead electrical commissioning, review testing and energization plans, and ensure systems are ready for cleanroom certification, tool move-in and production readiness
• Approve as-built drawings, O&M manuals and turnover packages, capture lessons learned and support continuous improvement
• Lead electrical safety reviews, energization risk assessments and LOTO/permit-to-work compliance

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• 8-12+ years of electrical engineering experience in semiconductor fab, cleanroom or high-tech industrial projects
• Proven experience leading power distribution, UPS and critical electrical systems through commissioning and handover
• Strong knowledge of electrical safety and reliability principles
