Senior Executive / Assistant Manager (Clinical Coding)

About the role

The Eastern General Hospital (EGH) Planning Office is looking for a highly driven Senior Executive / Assistant Manager to support the planning and development of clinical coding and Mediclaim coding standards. The goal is accuracy, consistency and compliance with regulatory requirements. EGH is set to provide inpatient and outpatient services covering emergency, acute and secondary care.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in developing workflows and processes for clinical and Mediclaim coding
• Contribute to data quality initiatives by establishing key metrics and quality assurance processes to maintain coding accuracy and clinical data integrity
• Support training of future staff and design an efficient rostering framework
• Support the hospital's Operational Readiness, Activation and Transition (ORAT) efforts
• Collaborate across departments to build a seamless healthcare delivery system from the ground up

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management (HIM) plus a Certificate of Clinical Coding Auditing or equivalent, or a non-reg MBBS / NTS healthcare-related degree plus the same certificate
• Experience in healthcare operations is an advantage
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to engage stakeholders in a growing, multi-generational organisation
• Team player who is motivated, action-oriented and able to work independently under pressure
