Senior Executive / Assistant Manager – Industrial Relations

About the role

The successful candidate will join the Industrial Relations Department within Singapore Airlines' Human Resources Division. This senior position is responsible for safeguarding the Company’s Code of Conduct, overseeing grievance handling, disciplinary processes, and leading investigations into employee misconduct.

Key responsibilities

• Act as custodian of the internal disciplinary process and Code of Conduct.
• Manage employee relations, grievance handling, and investigations.
• Monitor evolving employment legislation to ensure compliance with anti‑discrimination and fair employment practices.
• Engage with in‑house unions on collective bargaining, change management, and labour relations.
• Adopt a data‑driven approach to develop solutions that meet both employee and organisational needs.
• Analyse complex employee issues and support collective bargaining negotiations.

Required profile

• University Bachelor’s degree.
• Legal experience handling employment matters and solid knowledge of Singapore’s Employment Act, Industrial Relations Act and Trade Unions Act.
• Experience in employee relations, investigations, grievance handling or union relations (preferred).
• Critical thinking, strong data‑analysis capability, and the ability to view issues from a broad perspective.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, emotional maturity, personal integrity and the confidence to work with management and union leaders.
• Resourceful, independent and able to propose practical solutions.
• Experience with SuccessFactors HR is an advantage.
