Senior Executive / Assistant Manager, Library & Reference

About the role

A forward-looking polytechnic library that supports teaching, learning and lifelong learning through digital content, artificial intelligence and innovative information services is looking for a Senior Executive / Assistant Manager. The role covers partnership with academic schools, digital learning resources and technology, and collaboration across the institution.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with academic schools to support curriculum delivery through information, AI, digital and media literacy, and design and deliver workshops and learning resources on research, critical thinking, academic writing and digital skills.
• Work with lecturers to integrate library resources, AI tools and digital learning solutions into teaching, learning and course development, and advise on research, citation and copyright matters.
• Work with schools, IT teams, vendors and partners to evaluate, implement and promote learning technologies, digital platforms and academic resources.
• Evaluate and manage research databases, e-books and emerging learning tools, and create and curate digital and media content such as e-learning modules, filming and video editing.
• Lead or take part in Joint Polytechnic Libraries (JPL) and other institution-wide and cross-functional projects, and contribute to poly-wide and department-wide initiatives and events.

Required profile

• Degree in Library and Information Science with two years of relevant library experience.
• Relevant experience in academic librarianship, edtech and digital learning.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills, resourceful and service oriented.

Required skills

• Proficiency with generative AI tools, e-learning authoring software and digital productivity tools.
• IT-savvy.
