Senior Executive, Centralised Institutional Review Board (2-year contract)

About the role

SingHealth is looking for a Senior Executive to provide secretariat support to its Centralised Institutional Review Board (CIRB), ensuring its effective and efficient operation. This is a 2-year contract. The CIRB upholds the highest standards of research ethics in Singapore's healthcare landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Manage routine CIRB functions, prepare management reports, facilitate department meetings and coordinate projects improving CIRB processes and regulatory compliance.
• Review IRB applications for completeness, manage communication with Principal Investigators and coordinate requests for clarification.
• Screen and process amendments, annual continuing reviews, protocol deviations and serious adverse events.
• Interpret and apply ethical principles for human biomedical research and act as a resource for researchers on ethics matters.
• Develop and regularly update forms, guidelines, policies and educational materials.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a biomedical-related field.
• Minimum 2 years' work experience, preferably in a healthcare-related industry.
• Good command of English and effective meeting minutes writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, and to manage competing priorities and tight deadlines.
