Senior Executive / Executive (Finance Department)

About the role

The National Institute of Education (NIE), Singapore's national teacher education institute, is hiring a Senior Executive/Executive for its Finance Department. The appointee supports day-to-day financial operations and service delivery to internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Process staff-related payments, invoices and related enquiries.
• Compute liquidated damages for staff development schemes and prepare Ministry of Education (MOE) funding claims.
• Support accounting matters for donations, endowment funds, insurance and assigned fund accounts.
• Review and improve finance processes with the Reporting Officer.
• Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Head of Finance.
• Perform other finance and administrative duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Polytechnic Diploma, preferably in Accountancy, Finance or a related discipline.
• Preferably 2 to 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance operations.
• Organised and meticulous, comfortable working with numbers and financial records.
• Team player with a strong sense of responsibility and willingness to learn.
• Able to manage priorities and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• SAP experience is an advantage.
