Senior Executive, Maintenance Operations

About the role

NTU is seeking experienced and motivated individuals to join its Office of Development & Facilities Management, which oversees the physical development and maintenance of all University buildings and grounds. As Senior Executive, Maintenance Operations, you will oversee the repair and maintenance of external campus infrastructure so that it remains safe and fully functional.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and check maintenance activities so that inspection programmes and preventive maintenance of external infrastructure and grounds are carried out as planned and to the expected standards.
• Follow up promptly on corrective maintenance to minimise downtime and keep a safe environment.
• Supervise planned maintenance of electronic speed advisory signs and planned slope inspections, using screen service reports to spot early signs of slope failure and act quickly.
• Process user requests, develop work proposals and estimate associated costs.
• Oversee procurement of services, supervise work progress and ensure materials and workmanship meet standards.
• Review and track site progress through meetings and inspections to meet project completion timelines.
• Identify improvement works and maintenance needs, derive the budget for the new financial year and undertake other assigned duties.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Services, Facilities Management or equivalent, with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
• Good understanding of the design, construction and maintenance of drains, roads, culverts, linkways, slopes and related civil infrastructure is an added advantage.
• Self-motivated, with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
• Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency in AutoCAD and ability to interpret engineering and construction drawings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
