Senior Frontend Quality Engineer - HBM Wafer Level

About the role

Micron is hiring a Senior Frontend Quality Engineer (QE Product Engineer) for its Fab 10A, as part of the Global Quality FE Central team. The role drives quality and reliability initiatives for High-Bandwidth Memory (HBM) products used in critical customer AI applications, working with FE fab teams, QRA and Central PIE to deliver field DPM excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, manage and communicate quality strategy with line-of-sight metrics and goals to monitor execution.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives supporting FE manufacturing leadership and company-wide quality objectives.
• Establish quality programs such as those for the Singapore HBM expansion and the Boise ID1 new tech node.
• Use Micron-approved AI tools and data-driven methods to speed learning cycles and improve quality decisions, and partner with the smart manufacturing AI team on automation and AI deployments.
• Drive compliance with global product quality processes and build Business Knowledge Maps (BKMs) for processes such as wafer-level DPM forecasting and RMA DPM reduction.
• Act as subject matter expert on reliability failure modes and detection, and drive quality projects to reduce DPM.
• Work with fab teams to implement corrective and preventive actions on customer quality feedback and to reduce internal DPM during tech node ramping.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in semiconductor product quality assurance, process integration, product engineering or product yield enhancement.
• Good presentation skills and ability to lead large group discussions.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in English, spoken and written.

Required skills

• Expertise in frontend manufacturing processes, frontend/backend test flows, methodologies and product failure modes is a plus.
• Knowledge of DRAM products is a plus.
• Data extraction, analysis and reporting skills are a plus.
• Experience with AI-enabled productivity tools, data analytics platforms or automation solutions is a plus.
