Senior Group Manager, Market and Investment Strategist

About the role

As a key member of the Group Chief Investment Office (GCIO), the Senior Group Manager, Market and Investment Strategist conducts in-depth quantitative and qualitative analysis of the macro economy and financial markets to develop and formulate Prudential's house view on financial markets and asset outlook. The role is based at the Group Head Office in Singapore.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze macro economy and financial markets quantitatively and qualitatively, including their implications for asset allocation and portfolio construction.
• Contribute to the Group's thought leadership on asset allocation and investment strategy.
• Develop and formulate Prudential's house view on financial markets and asset outlook.
• Support investment solution development and provide oversight of portfolio management.
• Partner with local investment teams to deliver regular market outlook presentations and ad-hoc analyses on significant investment events.
• Prepare and present investment market analysis, macro strategy insights and portfolio implications to senior management, internal stakeholders and external audiences.
• Serve as a key liaison between the Group CIO and local investment teams, fostering collaboration and alignment on macro strategy and portfolio decisions.

Required profile

• 10-12 years of relevant work experience in a financial institution, ideally in an Economist/Strategist role with extensive experience analyzing a broad range of asset classes and strategies across different markets.
• Ability to write effectively and explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Excellent communication and team-working attributes.
• Buy-side or sell-side experience both welcome.
