Senior Industrial Engineer

About the role

RTX is hiring a Senior Industrial Engineer in Singapore to work in a high-product, low-mix manufacturing environment. The role covers process optimization, factory layout, productivity improvements, material handling and logistics, and data-driven simulation.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze product flow from raw materials to finished goods, identify constraints and inefficiencies, and conduct time studies, capacity analysis and value-stream mapping.
• Design and implement improved routing, scheduling and workflow strategies to increase throughput.
• Develop efficient factory layouts that reduce travel distance and support lean manufacturing, lead layout redesign projects with CAD tools and simulation models, and plan for future expansion.
• Run productivity initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen, track KPIs such as cycle time, WIP, OEE and takt time, and help operations fix bottlenecks.
• Evaluate internal logistics systems (AGVs, conveyors, kanban, storage), optimize delivery routes and inventory locations, and work with supply chain and warehouse teams.
• Build and maintain simulation models, perform data analysis with tools such as Python, SQL, Power BI, Tableau or Minitab, and use statistics to validate improvements and forecast performance.

Required profile

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in a high-product, low-mix manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and/or industrial engineering tools (5S, VSM, SPC).
• Experience with layout design, process engineering or production planning is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in data analysis and simulation software (FlexSim, Arena, AutoCAD, etc.) is a plus.
