Senior Java Analyst Developer (Assistant Vice President)

About the role

Citi is hiring a Senior Java Analyst Developer (Assistant Vice President) in Singapore. This is an intermediate-level position within the FX Risk Technology team, focused on taking part in establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team, contributing to applications systems analysis and programming.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out feasibility studies, time and cost estimates, IT planning, risk technology and applications development, and establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs to meet business needs.
• Monitor and control all phases of development, including analysis, design, construction, testing and implementation, and provide user and operational support to business users.
• Analyze complex problems using deep knowledge of applications development, evaluate business, system and industry standards, and make evaluative judgements.
• Recommend and develop security measures after implementation, and consult with users, clients and other technology groups on issues and advanced programming solutions.
• Install and assist customer exposure systems, and help define operating standards and processes.
• Act as advisor or coach to new or junior analysts, work with limited direct supervision and exercise independent judgement; act as subject matter expert to senior stakeholders and team members.
• Assess risk in business decisions, uphold compliance with laws, rules and regulations, follow policy, apply sound ethical judgment and escalate control issues transparently.

Required profile

• 5-8 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree or university degree, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage deadlines and adapt to unexpected changes in requirements.
• Ability to operate with limited supervision and to advise senior stakeholders.

Required skills

• Systems analysis and programming of software applications.
• Project management techniques and methods.
• Hands-on Java.
• Experience with OpenShift, Jenkins, Spring, Kafka and Ignite.
