Senior L&D Specialist

About the role

West Pharmaceutical Services is looking for a Senior L&D Specialist in Jurong. You will act as a strategic learning partner for an assigned area, owning the execution of key learning priorities, consulting with leaders and stakeholders on learning solutions, managing learning projects and supporting learning strategies that improve capability, compliance, performance, engagement and culture.

Key responsibilities

• Own execution of learning strategies, programs and initiatives for a site, function or business area.
• Consult with site leadership, subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify performance needs, capability gaps, compliance risks and learning priorities.
• Design, recommend and implement learning solutions using adult learning principles, instructional design, project management and blended delivery approaches.
• Lead learning projects from intake through implementation, including scope, planning, timelines, communications, resources, delivery and evaluation.
• Facilitate learning programs for team members, managers, leaders, trainers and cross-functional groups, including leadership, onboarding, compliance, technical and performance programs.
• Coach and mentor L&D Coordinators and Specialists on LMS practices, learning administration, audit readiness and project execution.
• Govern LMS and learning processes, and lead audit readiness activities for training records, curricula, certifications and requalifications.
• Create competency-based and role-based curricula, assessments, requalification processes and certification programs.
• Partner with HR and leaders on engagement, culture, performance management, feedback and individual development planning.
• Support funding, resource and vendor discussions, and help managers link learning to performance and measurable outcomes.
• Evaluate learning effectiveness with data-driven insights and recommend improvements to content and delivery.
• Pursue standardization of local and functional training, and contribute to local, functional and global communities of practice.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, HR, I/O Psychology, L&D, Education, Business or a related field preferred; equivalent work experience may be considered.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in learning and development, training, education, organizational development, HR development, operations training or a related role.
• Experience identifying learning needs, developing and facilitating learning, using an LMS to track and report training, and engaging managers and leaders as learning champions.
• Experience supervising team members and/or providing learning solutions in a manufacturing, pharmaceutical, medical device or regulated industry with cGMP requirements preferred.
• Experience leading learning projects, consulting with stakeholders, coaching trainers or L&D colleagues and implementing solutions across stakeholder groups preferred.

Required skills

• Applied knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design, facilitation, learning technologies and learning effectiveness.
• Knowledge of Training Within Industry (TWI) and similar approaches preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, training authoring tools and related systems.
• Strong communication, presentation, facilitation, consulting, project management and mentoring skills.
