Senior Legal Counsel, Antitrust & Competition

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Legal Counsel specializing in antitrust and competition law to join foodpanda’s regional legal team covering APAC. You will play a pivotal role in navigating complex competition landscapes across more than ten markets, ensuring compliance while supporting business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on all competition law matters arising from foodpanda’s APAC operations, including antitrust investigations and commercial agreements across multiple jurisdictions.
• Support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the global competition law compliance program, adapting it to local market nuances.
• Partner with senior regional and local leadership, providing strategic guidance on competition risks and regulatory investigations.
• Provide high‑stakes advice on merchant parity, exclusivity clauses, loyalty programmes, dynamic pricing, and gig‑economy labour issues.
• Lead competition law investigations and regulatory engagements, developing Dawn Raid readiness and response protocols.
• Translate evolving APAC regulatory developments into practical, business‑oriented guidance.
• Develop and deliver high‑impact training sessions to stakeholders worldwide, fostering a strong compliance culture.

Required profile

• 5+ years post‑qualified experience (PQE) in competition/antitrust law, preferably from a top‑tier international law firm or a fast‑paced in‑house environment.
• Qualification to practise in Singapore is preferred.
• Strong understanding of antitrust regimes across APAC (e.g., Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Philippines, etc.).
• Exposure to technology‑driven or platform businesses is a strong advantage.
