Senior Legal Counsel, Construction & Data Centre Infrastructure

About the role

A rapidly expanding digital infrastructure platform supporting major Asia-Pacific data centre developments is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel in construction and data centre infrastructure. The role advises on project delivery, procurement, construction and risk management across several markets, working with senior stakeholders. It is based in Singapore, permanent, and open to work from home or hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice on construction, procurement and project delivery for large-scale infrastructure developments.
• Draft, review and negotiate construction, engineering, procurement and commercial agreements.
• Advise project teams on contract strategy, procurement structures and commercial risk allocation.
• Support contractor, supplier and multi-package delivery arrangements.
• Partner with engineering, construction, operations, procurement and finance stakeholders.
• Advise on regulatory, compliance, health and safety and project governance matters.
• Manage external legal advisors and help develop contracting frameworks, templates and internal policies.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer admitted in a recognised common law jurisdiction.
• Over 10 years of post-qualification experience in construction, infrastructure or project development matters.
• Proven track record supporting major infrastructure, industrial, technology or mission-critical facility developments.
• Prior in-house experience or experience advising infrastructure, technology, telecommunications or digital infrastructure clients is advantageous.

Required skills

• Strong experience advising on EPC, EPCM, design-build and other complex procurement and delivery models.
• Strong contract drafting, negotiation and commercial advisory skills.
• Ability to manage legal risk across multiple projects and stakeholder groups.
• Commercially minded, with strong problem-solving and stakeholder management.
