Senior Legal Counsel, Data Centres & Project Financing

About the role

A fast-growing digital infrastructure platform developing hyperscale data centre campuses across Asia Pacific is recruiting a Senior Legal Counsel, reporting to the Head of Legal & Governance. The role covers major infrastructure and investment activities across the region, including complex cross-border transactions, project financings and governance matters. It is based in Singapore and offered on a permanent basis, with work from home or hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support acquisitions, joint ventures, strategic partnerships and cross-border investment transactions
• Draft, negotiate and advise on commercial, construction, infrastructure and customer agreements
• Support project finance, development finance and capital raising across multiple jurisdictions
• Oversee corporate governance, entity management, company secretarial matters and board processes
• Manage disputes, regulatory matters and legal risk on large-scale infrastructure projects
• Partner with finance, investment and project teams on commercially driven legal solutions
• Build legal operations, standard documentation, governance frameworks and process improvements

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with over 10 years' post-qualification experience
• Experience in both private practice and in-house settings
• Background in M&A, commercial transactions, project development and infrastructure
• Proven experience advising on debt and equity financing
• Corporate governance and company secretarial expertise across multiple entities
• Experience managing complex regional or cross-border stakeholder relationships
• Autonomous ability to work in a lean, high-performing team
• Exposure to infrastructure, real estate, energy, construction or digital infrastructure is highly regarded
