Senior Legal Counsel – EPC & Digital Infrastructure

About the role

We are working with a leading data centre developer and operator to appoint a Legal Counsel / Senior Legal Counsel in Singapore. This broad commercial legal role supports the development, construction and operation of data centre assets across the region, working closely with senior business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal support across the development, construction and operation of data centre projects.
• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including EPC contracts, construction agreements, consultancy agreements, procurement contracts, equipment supply agreements and service agreements.
• Support project development matters involving contractors, consultants, vendors and other external counterparties.
• Advise on contract interpretation, risk allocation, variations, claims, delays, warranties, indemnities and other project‑related issues.
• Partner closely with development, project management, procurement, operations and commercial teams on day‑to‑day legal matters.
• Support negotiations with major customers, suppliers, contractors and strategic partners where required.
• Assist with broader corporate and commercial matters relevant to the business and its regional expansion.
• Manage external legal advisers across relevant jurisdictions.
• Develop practical legal solutions that balance commercial objectives with appropriate risk management.

Required profile

• Qualified lawyer with approximately 5 years’ post‑qualification experience (PQE) or above; senior level considered.
• Strong experience in EPC, construction, projects or complex commercial contracts.
• Background from a leading law firm or in‑house legal team; sector experience in data centres, infrastructure, energy, utilities, construction, engineering, real estate development or related industries is valued.
• Strong commercial judgement, ability to identify contractual risks and provide practical solutions.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑growing, commercially driven environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with confidence to work directly with senior business leaders.
