Senior Manager, Agency Strategy

About the role

This is a senior, execution-focused strategy role reporting to the Head of Distribution Strategy, Performance and Compensation. It acts as a strategic partner and problem-solver, working closely with channel chiefs and cross-functional leaders to diagnose issues, design commercial plans and drive the execution of strategic priorities across all distribution channels. The incumbent translates strategy into action and ensures business improvement through hands-on leadership.

The role shapes and executes the agency distribution agenda, partnering with the Chief Agency Officer and Group Agency Distribution on the design, execution and tracking of agency strategy, from business plan development and strategic deep dives to high-impact engagement events. It also involves mentoring junior strategy team members.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with Group Agency Distribution: prepare monthly dialogues, report, follow up items and handle ad hoc requests.
• Design and track agency strategy for the business plan, deep dives and similar initiatives.
• Create content and storytelling for agency engagement events such as Flying Start, Mid-year charge up, Final Sprint and ALC (twice a year).
• Develop business proposals, timelines and launch plans, adapting them as needed; support ACR narratives and exceptional ACR In-Charges.
• Take part in agency engagements as required, such as FWC and CEO roundtables.
• Collaborate with internal and Group stakeholders across Digital Enablement, Technology, Finance, Agency, Health & Protection and Customer pillars to align plans.
• Support the Chief Agency Officer in clearing day-to-day roadblocks and expediting processes.
• Mentor and upskill junior strategy team members, share best practices and lessons learned, and foster a culture of applied strategic thinking and problem-solving.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in consulting, applied strategy, agency, finance or a related field, with a strong track record in agency strategy (insurance/financial services preferred).
• Proven ability to diagnose and solve complex business problems, drive execution and deliver measurable results.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and mentoring junior staff.
