Senior Manager / Manager, Communications (Media)

About the role

NParks is looking for a Senior Manager or Manager in Communications (Media) to join its media relations team. The team drives strategic, integrated communications for the City in Nature, crafting stories for mainstream and online media to build awareness and appreciation of NParks' work.

Key responsibilities

• Craft strategic communications plans that highlight NParks' initiatives and develop compelling narratives
• Draft media releases, speeches and anticipate and manage issues
• Manage NParks' reputation and drive awareness of its programmes
• Explore content beyond traditional media, such as videos and long-form articles
• Advise other divisions on corporate events, issues and crisis management, branding and other public communications projects

Required profile

• Study in Mass Communications, Marketing, English or a related field, with at least 1 year of relevant integrated communications experience; fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may also be considered
• Experience in media relations, social media and/or issues and crisis management
• Good news sense, able to think and perform under pressure and handle complex issues
• Keen eye for detail and a passion for writing compelling stories
• Team player who works well both collaboratively and independently
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and excellent command of English
