Senior Manager / Manager, Strategic Planning

About the role

This role sits with Strategic Planning (SP), the authoritative voice in Singapore on strategy, data and insights for the digital economy. SP works closely with divisions across IMDA to drive data-driven analysis, strategy development and programme execution in existing and emerging domains, covering Strategic Planning, Corporate Planning, Foresight and Economic & Data Analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross-division reviews and analysis of policies, greenfield opportunities and ideas for the Digital Economy, including developing strategies, plans and programmes
• Guide the planning process so that mid-to-long-term goals and strategic objectives are turned into actionable workplans across divisions
• Secure, manage and coordinate strategic resources, corporate initiatives, processes and operational plans, including with other Ministries or government agencies
• Track and monitor the performance and outcomes of IMDA-wide programmes and recommend pivots where relevant

Required profile

• Good understanding of the infocomm and media sectors, the economic landscape and public policy/administration, with at least 6 to 10 years of relevant experience
• Prior experience in strategic planning within a public sector organisation is advantageous
• Excellent critical thinking and good judgement
• Ability to work independently and in teams under tight deadlines
• Excellent writing and communication skills, able to prepare analysis, assessments and presentations clearly and concisely, and to communicate across all levels
