Senior Manager, Operations Global Quality Assurance (KYC/TM/Fraud Risk)

About the role

Airwallex, the AI-native financial operating system used by more than 675,000 businesses, is looking for a Senior Manager of Operations Global Quality Assurance in Singapore. The role works closely with regional and global Compliance, Risk, Product and Operations teams to meet regulatory obligations and risk management standards through a data-driven QA framework aligned with the company's risk appetite and compliance culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a global team of QA analysts with different domain expertise such as KYC, transaction monitoring, name screening, underwriting and merchant risk monitoring.
• Design, implement and continuously improve QA programs covering all key operational functions.
• Deliver high-quality QA reports and track remediation initiatives to effective closure.
• Build a comprehensive operations QA framework covering compliance, risk controls and key customer-facing functions.
• Oversee monthly QA testing, identify operational risks, process gaps and system limitations, and recommend remediations.
• Communicate QA outcomes clearly to stakeholders and senior leadership and track remedial actions.
• Support global operations excellence projects with data-driven analytics and insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Management, Statistics and Mathematics, Law or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in financial services, fintech or consulting, with one of the following profiles: AML/compliance expertise (preferably with CAMS/AAMLP certification), risk control expertise in credit, fraud, brand or consumer risk, or QA/auditing/consulting background with compliance testing exposure.
• Strong understanding of AML/CTF regulations, risk controls and regulatory expectations in payments and fintech.
• Fluency in spoken and written English; Mandarin is a plus.

Required skills

• Familiarity with AML processes (KYC, transaction monitoring, name screening) or risk controls (underwriting, merchant risk monitoring).
• Data and analytics skills such as SQL and Looker are a plus.
