Job description
About the role
The Senior Manager, Strategy & Growth helps shape and advance Manulife Singapore's bancassurance growth agenda by identifying, assessing and progressing strategic opportunities across key bank partnerships. You will build the Horizon 2 and Horizon 3 opportunity pipeline, drawing on product, market, customer and commercial insights to identify new sources of growth, and turn opportunities into strategic recommendations and investment-ready business cases.
Key responsibilities
- Build and manage the Horizon 2 and 3 bancassurance growth pipeline, and develop opportunity concepts from initial hypothesis through strategic assessment and investment consideration.
- Conduct market, customer, product and competitor analysis, and monitor industry, technology and regulatory developments, translating them into implications for the bancassurance strategy.
- Develop strategic options, opportunity assessments and investment-ready business cases, quantifying commercial potential, customer value, strategic fit, feasibility, dependencies and risks, and validating assumptions with Finance, Actuarial, Product, Distribution and Analytics teams.
- Support the Director in developing partnership strategies, segment priorities and roadmaps, and prepare evidence-based recommendations for senior Manulife and bank-partner stakeholders.
- Translate approved priorities into defined initiatives and accountabilities, track the progression of growth opportunities and keep key assumptions and expected benefits visible.
Required profile
- Experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, business development, commercial strategy or strategic partnerships, preferably in banking, insurance, wealth management or financial services.
- Demonstrated experience in market analysis, evaluating growth opportunities and developing business or investment cases.
- Bachelor's degree required; an MBA or other relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
- Preferred: experience in bancassurance, banking, insurance or wealth management, and understanding of Singapore's financial-services and distribution landscape.
Required skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial-modelling capability.
- Ability to turn complex information into clear insights, recommendations and executive-level materials.
- Proven ability to work across functions and influence stakeholders without direct authority.
Working arrangement is hybrid. The employer states it is an equal opportunity employer and supports learning, growth, flexibility, well-being and inclusion.
