Senior Manager – Upstream Manufacturing Sciences (MSAT)

About the role

The Senior Manager, Upstream MSAT leads a multidisciplinary team that bridges R&D and manufacturing for biological products. Based in Singapore, the role is responsible for upstream process platforms, material decisions, and ensuring robust, scalable manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a high‑performing team of upstream scientists and engineers.
• Define team structure, workflows, and deliverables to support process transfer and manufacturing.
• Develop upstream process and engineering strategies, standardisation tools, and knowledge‑management systems.
• Lead site‑level programs including process definition, validation, control strategies, and regulatory documentation.
• Provide after‑hours MSAT support, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and drive investigations and CAPA activities.
• Drive continued process verification, yield optimisation, and implementation of new technologies and materials.
• Act as primary site contact for assigned products, aligning with global technical teams.
