Senior Maritime Commercial Solutions Consultant

About the role

Veson Nautical is a fast-growing software company providing end-to-end logistical, operational and analytical solutions for maritime commerce. This role sits at the heart of its sales team, helping prospects and existing clients envision, architect and adopt tailored solutions across a multi-product portfolio. The candidate brings shipping experience, while the company teaches its products and pre-sales methods.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver tailored product demonstrations and presentations based on real chartering, operations and voyage scenarios
• Lead technical evaluations, including proofs of concept, RFPs and solution design across product combinations
• Develop initial SOWs and professional services estimates, and act as liaison between sales and the wider organisation
• Translate chartering, operations, laytime, demurrage and voyage economics into client conversations, and mentor colleagues on how owners, operators and traders work
• Master the product suite (IMOS, Shipfix, CoCaptain AI, Data Lake and integrations), design integration requirements and own the regional sales demonstrations and sandbox environments
• Run strategic discovery using the MEDDPICC methodology, present to executives, support account close strategies and use AI tools such as Claude to speed preparation
• Maintain accurate Salesforce records of opportunities, wins and losses, and build reusable content such as demos and discovery frameworks
• Travel up to 25% within the region and occasionally globally; represent Veson at conferences and industry events

Required profile

• At least seven years in commercial shipping (Charterer, Operator, Business Application Manager or Business Process Owner) or seven years in pre-sales, solutions consulting or technical sales in enterprise SaaS
• Track record of staying close to the business while working with technology, and success in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments
• Experience presenting to senior stakeholders and project management experience
• Fluent English; regional language such as Mandarin is highly desirable

Required skills

• Technical aptitude for APIs, cloud architecture and system integrations, or quick learning of them
• Proficiency with AI tools, especially Claude
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Salesforce, LinkedIn and demo platforms, or ability to learn them quickly
• Familiarity with voyage management, chartering or commercial shipping systems such as IMOS is highly valued
• Core competencies: MEDDPICC discovery, technical presentations, competitive positioning, stakeholder management and shipping industry knowledge
