Senior MRO Technician for Autonomous Underwater Vehicles

About the role

BeeX is seeking a Senior Technician to lead maintenance, repair and overhaul of its Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (HAUV) fleet. The role combines hands‑on fault diagnosis, component‑level repairs and mentorship of junior technicians to keep the fleet operational and safe.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, service and repair HAUV mechanical chassis, pressure hulls, thrusters, actuators, wiring harnesses, power electronics, sensors and data connectivity.
• Troubleshoot faults across mechanical, electrical and software subsystems using test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and bench power supplies.
• Perform PCB soldering/rework, wire‑harness fabrication, connector re‑termination and motor‑driver repairs.
• Validate repaired assemblies through functional and environmental testing and support sea‑trial verification.
• Lead junior technicians, conduct root‑cause analysis on recurring issues and maintain detailed repair documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Aerospace or related field.
• 3+ years of hands‑on MRO experience; marine, subsea or robotics background is a strong plus.
• Proven ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and mechanical drawings.
• Leadership and meticulous documentation skills.

Required skills

• Use of multimeter, oscilloscope and bench power supply for fault isolation.
• PCB assembly, soldering and rework.
• Wire‑harness repair, fabrication and connector re‑termination.
• Linux (Ubuntu) command‑line tools, SSH and firmware update procedures.
• Root‑cause analysis and functional/environmental testing of repaired systems.
