Senior Network Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Network Engineer at Amadeus, you will help keep enterprise and airport operational networks stable, secure and efficient. You will monitor and maintain network infrastructure, support incident resolution, strengthen cybersecurity defenses and take part in projects that improve business continuity and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain network performance, availability and reliability using appropriate tools and procedures.
• Provide Level 2 technical support for network operations, resolving incidents and performance issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors and project stakeholders to deliver secure, resilient network services.
• Coordinate and implement approved network configuration changes, with testing, validation and risk management.
• Support vulnerability management, including assessments, remediation and compliance with security standards.
• Contribute to documentation, diagrams and operational reporting.
• Participate in infrastructure projects such as hardware refresh, security enhancements or network migrations.
• Improve network security and reliability through configuration reviews and adherence to policies.
• Communicate clearly during maintenance and incidents, share technical expertise and support knowledge transfer within the team.

Required profile

• Experience in network operations, engineering or support, ideally with Cisco or Fortinet technologies.
• Familiarity with routing, switching and network security principles.
• Knowledge of firewall administration, authentication systems and risk assessment.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with an emphasis on learning and adaptability.
• Ability to manage documentation, prioritise tasks and work collaboratively with different teams.
• Comfortable in a fast-moving environment that values reliability, security and quality.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
