Senior Network Engineer (Non-Shift)

About the role

BCS, a wholly owned subsidiary of Network for Electronic Transfers (NETS) and part of the NETS Group, manages and operates clearing and payment infrastructure for the Singapore Automated Clearing House, including FAST, Inter-bank GIRO, Cheque Truncation System, PayNow and SGQR. The Senior Network Engineer reports to the Network Manager and is responsible for the daily management of BCS' network operations, ensuring alignment with organisational growth and operational objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Perform network administration in a heterogeneous environment (production, DR, test) of network and security equipment and telecom links
• Harden, upgrade and enhance IT infrastructure components, monitor obsolescence, renew passwords and certificates, and run network backups
• Run disaster recovery plans and regular DR testing and switchover exercises
• Support projects and manage infrastructure enhancements according to project timelines and guidelines
• Provide second-level network support and resolve incidents within SLA, diagnosing root causes and preventing recurrence
• Schedule and release production changes and present change requests in CAB or CAMC
• Maintain a configuration database of production hardware and software, plan capacity and tune network performance
• Implement IT service management processes and keep technical and process documentation up to date

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field
• At least 8 years of hands-on experience managing network and security equipment in financial institutions or mission-critical environments
• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset
