Senior Nurse Manager – Operating Theatre

About the role

The Senior Nurse Manager will provide leadership, management and direction for the Operating Theatre unit. This role ensures high‑quality patient care, aligns nursing competence with patient needs, and oversees occupational health, safety and clinical risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Set unit goals and objectives in collaboration with the clinical team.
• Lead induction, competency assessment, and career‑progression planning for nursing staff.
• Evaluate nursing care quality and implement improvements to care delivery.
• Facilitate occurrence report reviews and enforce preventive actions.
• Monitor budget and consumable expenditure for efficient resource use.
• Plan staffing schedules to match skill mix with patient acuity and census.
• Ensure compliance with system clinical policies and procedures.
• Apply systems‑level thinking to diverse operational situations.
• Drive recruitment, selection, development and retention of nursing personnel.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Preferably postgraduate qualification in Perioperative or Peri‑anesthesia Nursing.
• Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board.
• Relevant experience in a similar senior nursing management role.
