Senior Pharmacist – Hospital Pharmacy

About the role

The Senior Pharmacist will lead medication management within JurongHealth Campus, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost‑effective pharmacy services for patients. This role combines clinical oversight, staff development, and compliance with regulatory standards in a dynamic hospital environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure medication management is efficient, zero‑wastage, and aligns with best professional practices.
• Review medication orders for appropriateness and intervene with prescribers as needed.
• Oversee correct packing and timely dispensing of patient medications.
• Account for medication‑related costs and revenue, ensuring accurate recovery.
• Assign, supervise, and review work of subordinate pharmacy staff.
• Maintain compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for prescription, sales, storage, and distribution.
• Precept and train pre‑registration pharmacists, technicians, and pharmacy students.
• Deliver lectures and continuing education to pharmacy and hospital staff.
• Lead research or quality‑improvement projects within the department.

Required profile

• Degree in Pharmacy accredited by the Singapore Pharmacy Council.
• Registered Pharmacist with the Singapore Pharmacy Council.
• Minimum 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience, or 1‑2 years with a relevant postgraduate degree.
