Senior/ Pharmacist

About the role

A 2-year contract position at Alexandra Hospital Pharmacy, within the National University Health System (NUHS). The pharmacist works in a supportive, collaborative team and is guided to grow confidence, skills and sense of purpose in patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safe, accurate and timely dispensing of medications
• Work closely with pharmacy technicians, assistants and fellow pharmacists to deliver coordinated and efficient care
• Support day-to-day pharmacy operations, such as medication packing when needed
• Work with doctors, nurses and allied health professionals to deliver holistic care to patients
• Contribute to and support training under the guidance of senior colleagues
• Participate in service improvement and innovation initiatives
• Undertake additional roles and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental goals

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree recognised by the Singapore Pharmacy Council
• Registered with the Singapore Pharmacy Council (or pending registration)
• Responsible, adaptable and open to learning in a dynamic environment
• Team player who enjoys working closely with colleagues across all job groups
• Able to work independently or with minimal guidance
• Good listening and communication skills
• Hospital experience is desired but not necessary
