Senior Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer (APAC)

About the role

Deepgram, a provider of real-time speech-to-text, text-to-speech and voice agent APIs, is hiring a Senior Pre-Sales Solutions Engineer based in Singapore to serve the APAC region. The role wins complex technical evaluations, designs solution paths and drives repeatable adoption for strategic accounts, partnering with Account Executives from discovery through POC, production launch and expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and map business goals to measurable technical success criteria and an evaluation plan.
• Design, scope and run POCs, define datasets and metrics, and build lightweight prototypes, sample integrations and demos using Deepgram SDKs and APIs.
• Advise on architecture for accuracy, latency, scalability and cost, covering cloud, self-hosted, hybrid and data residency needs.
• Run security and compliance threads for APAC regulations such as Singapore PDPA, Japan APPI, Korea PIPA, Australia's Privacy Act and India's DPDP Act.
• Triage and debug issues during evaluations, collaborating with Product, Engineering and Support.
• Create reusable assets such as reference architectures, runbooks and field guides, and partner with Solutions Architects and Support after initial wins.
• Work with AEs, CSMs and partners on positioning, demos and technical validation, and travel 10 to 20 percent within the region.

Required profile

• 5+ years in Solutions Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical pre-sales role.
• Professional software engineering experience in at least one language such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python or Rust.
• Proven track record leading POCs for enterprise customers and winning technical deals.
• Excellent written and spoken English; an additional Asian language is a strong plus.
• Familiarity with procurement, InfoSec and data privacy expectations across APAC.

Required skills

• Hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, networking fundamentals and secure API design.
• Preferred: speech recognition, TTS, voice quality analysis, AI agents, SIP/WebRTC, self-hosted deployments (Helm) and observability.
