Senior Principal Analyst, Nuclear Ecosystem

About the role

Singapore is studying the potential deployment of nuclear energy as part of its long-term energy strategy, through comprehensive studies and the development of in-house nuclear energy capabilities. As a Senior Principal Analyst (Nuclear Ecosystem), you will join a team that engages industry and public stakeholders, helps shape industry development roadmaps and fosters collaboration with domestic and international partners. The role is an individual contributor position focused on human resource development, R&D and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a national roadmap for Singapore's nuclear ecosystem covering R&D, human resource development and industrial capabilities, identifying gaps and opportunities and partnering with government agencies, industry and research institutes.
• Conduct landscape studies on emerging nuclear technologies, supply chain opportunities and international trends and policy shifts.
• Engage external partners such as research institutes, academia, industry and government agencies, establish relationships with international partners, prepare briefs, reports and presentation materials, and organise and follow up on workshops and seminars.
• Support public engagement plans by communicating complex technical concepts and policies clearly, and identify key stakeholders and design engagement approaches.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or M.S. in Engineering or a related field preferred; candidates with qualifications in Business, Human Resources, Public Policy, Economics or related fields with exposure to technical or technology policy are also considered.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Prior experience in human resource development, R&D or technology road-mapping, or strategic communications is considered favourably.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively as required.

Required skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong grasp of technology concepts and trends, with the ability to assess economic and policy implications.
• Proven ability to coordinate across government agencies, research institutions and industry partners.
• Ability to interact effectively with senior executives is a plus.
