Senior Product Owner - SMART Mfg & AI

About the role

Micron Technology, Inc. is hiring a Senior AI Product Owner in its Smart Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence organization, reporting to the FE Procurement function. The team defines, drives and delivers end-to-end AI and agentic solutions across procurement and adjacent functions, working with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to turn business needs into requirements and deliver solutions from concept through adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Own the product backlog for assigned AI and agentic use cases: capture and refine requirements, write user stories and acceptance criteria, and prioritize work.
• Work with users to gather and analyse information on the adoption of AI and agentic applications for procurement.
• Support product discovery: define user personas, map procurement workflows and pain points, and validate use cases before build.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers and Data Scientists to design, execute and deliver projects, coordinating support from global teams.
• Assess data readiness for each use case, evaluating data availability, quality and completeness and defining the data requirements.
• Steer solutions from proof of concept through production, partnering with procurement, planning and functional teams to improve cost, productivity and capital efficiency.
• Gather and translate business requirements into functional and data requirements, user stories and implementation plans, and contribute to scope, KPIs and success criteria.
• Drive projects from problem definition through deployment, adoption and value realization, and use AI, generative AI and agentic tools to automate workflows and accelerate delivery.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, management consulting, technology, procurement, planning, supply chain, software development, engineering, business or a related field.
• Must have strong interpersonal, relationship management and organizational skills, and the ability to present to peers and mid-level management.
• Highly preferable: Master's degree in a related field.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of AI, including machine learning, generative AI and agentic AI, with experience delivering AI-powered products.
• Strong understanding of data quality, data pipelines and analytics, able to partner with data engineering and data science teams.
